Exterior Upgrade: More Refined Hour Markers

Let's start with the most obvious change.

The hour markers on the new grey Daytona replica have been redesigned. They are thinner and longer than those on the previous version, giving the dial a more refined appearance. The older markers were slightly shorter and thicker, which created a more rugged look.

The three subdials have also been subtly adjusted, making the overall layout more balanced. The sunburst finishing on the subdials is fine and evenly executed. As the watch moves under different lighting, the dial produces subtle changes in reflection rather than looking like a flat, solid color.

The genuine white-gold version weighs around 210 grams, so there is still a difference. However, among the replica Rolex versions currently available, this VS Factory version is already one of the higher-level options.

Dial Details: Very Accurate Grey Color

The most important part of the grey Daytona is naturally the dial color.

The clasp is another area where VS Factory has invested considerable effort.

The overall construction feels solid, while opening and closing the clasp is smooth without obvious looseness or resistance.

The internal engravings are complete, including production codes, hallmark markings, and AU750-related details. The lettering is clear, while the edges are smoothly finished.

A complete set of components at this quality level would already cost a significant amount on its own, so the factory's willingness to invest in these parts suggests greater attention to overall quality control.

One thing worth noting is that clasp codes on replica watches frequently change between production batches. Because of this, identifying the factory purely through clasp codes is no longer particularly reliable.

The feel of the clasp, finishing quality, and opening and closing action are much more useful indicators.

Movement: Dandong 4131

When it comes to the movement, there is very little hesitation here.

The Dandong 4131 is currently one of the highest-level movements used in replica Daytonas, and VS Factory continues to use Dandong movements in its higher-end versions.

Its main advantages include three areas.

**Power reserve:** approximately 70 hours, meaning the watch can remain unworn for around two days without immediately stopping.

**Stability:** relatively low failure rates and good timekeeping performance for a replica mechanical movement.

**Functional accuracy:** the chronograph start, stop, and reset functions operate correctly, while the time-setting and hacking functions are also designed to behave similarly to the genuine movement.

Operation is straightforward.

Turning the crown winds the movement. Pulling the crown out allows the time to be adjusted, with the hands moving accordingly.

The chronograph pushers control the start, stop, and reset functions after the screw-down locks are released.

One important detail is that when the crown is pulled out for time adjustment, the running seconds stop.

This behavior is closer to the genuine movement. Older 7750-based movements or modified plate movements may behave differently.

This kind of small functional detail is often useful when distinguishing between different grades of movements.

Advantages

The grey dial color is highly accurate, with a refined matte appearance.

The total weight has been increased to approximately 184 grams, giving the watch a more substantial wrist feel.

The Dandong 4131 offers around 70 hours of power reserve and good overall stability.

The dial details, hands, markers, and printing are all well finished.

VS Factory generally maintains consistent quality control and invests more heavily in components and small details.

Disadvantages

At approximately 184 grams, it is still lighter than the genuine version at around 210 grams.

The price may be slightly higher than versions from some competing factories.

Water resistance is still limited, so wearing it in a hot shower is not recommended.

And ultimately, it is still a replica watch, which is something the buyer needs to be comfortable with.

Buying Recommendation: Who Is It For?

If you really like the grey Daytona color combination but consider the price of the genuine version too high, the VS Factory V3 is certainly one of the versions worth considering.

It is not a low-end replica that immediately looks incorrect. For everyday wear, business occasions, or casual use, its overall appearance is already very convincing.

The combination of full-watch weighting and the Dandong 4131 movement places it among the more advanced replica Daytona configurations currently available.
