The activity also fits naturally into Convoy play. Friends can run the same circuit and compare scores, while leaderboard functionality provides a longer-term reason to return. Even when nobody is chasing a serious competitive record, trying to beat a friend's score can turn a short practice session into a surprisingly competitive challenge.

Outside drifting, the current Festival Playlist continues to reward players who are willing to switch cars. The Summer schedule includes Retro Supercars, Sports Utility Heroes, Total Buggies & Offroad, Speed Traps, Danger Signs, Trailblazers, Rivals, Horizon Stunt Party, Tokyo City Food Delivery, and the Trial.

This mixture makes garage organization more important than having one universally powerful vehicle. A good road racer can handle a championship but may struggle with a cross-country route. An off-road machine can dominate rough terrain but lose too much time on a technical street circuit. A dedicated drift build may be brilliant at Shimanoyama but completely unsuitable for a clean-lap Rival.

A simple garage system can solve much of this. Keep one dependable road racer, one off-road setup, one drift car, and one flexible vehicle that can be retuned when a playlist requirement changes. Once those roles are covered, additional cars can be collected for enjoyment rather than because the garage lacks a particular function.

The 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior is an excellent example of a car that can be used for technical driving practice. Its lightweight nature makes momentum management important, and that makes it useful for learning how to brake without throwing away speed. A player who becomes comfortable with a low-powered car may find that faster machines become easier to control because the same cornering principles apply at higher speeds.

The 2021 McLaren 620R offers a different lesson. More power and stronger performance mean the driver has to make decisions earlier. Braking points arrive quickly, and accelerating too aggressively can upset the car before the road has opened sufficiently. The Lotus Elise brings another lesson: lightweight cars can be extremely competitive without enormous power. Their advantage comes from momentum, braking efficiency, and corner speed. A player who learns to carry speed through a clean line may discover that a modestly powered car can be more satisfying than a huge engine build.

PR Stunts provide a quick way to test whether those improvements are actually working. Speed Traps expose weaknesses in acceleration and top speed, while Danger Signs test launch technique and control in the air. Trailblazers add route selection to the equation, making them less about one perfect line and more about recognizing where the terrain offers the quickest path.
