Trace Medical takes majority stake in LiViliti after Paptizer 360 clearance
Trace Medical has bought a majority interest in LiViliti Health Products, whose Paptizer 360 won FDA clearance in April. The release gives no deal terms or launch date.
Trace Medical, which supplies respiratory equipment rentals and biomedical services to care providers, has taken a majority interest in LiViliti Health Products, Inc. The announcement, dated 12 October 2026 and filed from Whitmore Lake, Michigan, and Sarasota, Florida, says the transaction expands an investment the two firms already share. It gives no stake size, price or closing date.
What the FDA record shows
LiViliti sells CPAP accessories meant to keep equipment clean, comfortable and in regular use. Its product at the center of the deal is Paptizer 360, which the release calls a microbial reduction device for CPAP equipment. The FDA 510(k) database lists Paptizer 360 under number K252471, with LiViliti Health Products Corporation as the applicant. The decision date is 29 April 2026, and the FDA ruled the device substantially equivalent.
As calculated by Trend & Ticker, the announcement came 166 days after the FDA decision date, or about five and a half months. The release does not say when the clearance was first made public or how the device will reach patients.
Who the partners are
Trace Medical was founded in 2004 and works with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospice and home medical equipment providers. LiViliti was founded in 2019 and is based in Sarasota, Florida. Brian Sharpe, LiViliti's founder and chief executive, said the partnership adds scale, logistics know-how and reach through distribution. Greg Apostolou, Trace Medical's chief executive, described the work as an effort to improve care for people who use CPAP machines.
Both statements are general. Neither gives a sales target, a unit count or a launch date.
The release points to Trace Medical's existing provider network as the route to market. That makes the customer base the open question for LiViliti, more than the device itself. The next thing to watch is whether the expansion described in the release produces named customers or a dated launch. Neither has been announced.
