Connecting Your Home Level 2 Charger
When buying a Level 2 charger, you must choose between a hardwired setup and a plug-in unit. A plug-in charger connects directly to a 240-volt outlet, like a NEMA 14-50 receptacle. Hardwired units connect directly into your home's electrical conduit without an exposed wall plug.
Both styles deliver dependable daily power, but they serve different needs. Plug-in units offer portability if you plan to move soon. Hardwired chargers deliver higher maximum power levels and extra weather resistance for outdoor setups. Consulting an expert for an electric car charger installation near me helps you pick the right design for your property.
