Bo Nix was the best quarterback who worked out at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine in Hunter Stratton Jersey early March, and he built on that fine performance during Oregon's pro day Tuesday.Nix, back in the comfortable environment of the college practice facility in Eugene and throwing to targets like borderline first-round wide receiver prospect Troy Franklin, did nothing to change his status as one of the top-five QBs on the board for April. He did more to confirm that his deep ball accuracy and improved footwork make him worthy of a top-12 pick.Oregon QB Bo Nix looking good in the throwing drills. Zachary Neel (@zacharycneel) Among all his throws, Nix put terrific air on his deep balls. He also impre sed on throwing fade routes with the right touch. Perhaps most important, he showed improved movement while within the pocket, which continues to be his biggest worry with the draft just six weeks away.NFL COMBINE: | | Bo Nix's 2024 NFL Draft outlook after pro dayIn Sporting News' latest mock draft after the NFL Combine, Nix . That makes more sense with the team releasing Ru sell Wilson (now with the Steelers) and having Jarrett Stidham atop the QB depth chart.Nix could have blown the doors off his pro day and he still probably couldn't have jumped Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels and moved into the first tier of QBs. He remains neck-and-neck with J.J. McCarthy to be the fourth QB off the board.NFL DRAFT: | The Giants might still be thinking of an upgrade for Daniel Jones after only replacing backup Tyrod Taylor with Drew Lock. That gives Nix a shot to go No. 6 overall instead of McCarthy. Although the Bears (picking No. 1 and No. 9) were well represented at Nix's pro day, they should be locked into Williams. The Falcons (No. 8) should be out on Nix and other QBs after signing Kirk Cousins. The Jets (No. 10) were also present in Eugene, but they're unlikely to go QB in the first round with Taylor now behind Aaron Rodgers. The Vikings now might be the destination. Their decision-making and coaching contingent wasconspicuously absent from Eugene, which could be a smokescreen for taking Nix No. 11 overall to ultimately replace Cousins. Then come the Broncos and Raiders (No. 13), who signed Gardner Minshew, but he could have the same role he had in Indianapolis, backing up a first-round pick. It would now be surprising if Nix doesn't land in Minnesota, Denver, or Las Vegas. Edward Olivares Jersey
