Foundations Care is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people and families through responsive care, protection, connection and ongoing support. With a strong focus on the wellbeing of children and young people, Foundations Care works to create safe, stable and nurturing environments where children can feel accepted, valued and supported.
Foundations Care provides foster care services for children and young people who are unable to remain safely living with their families due to circumstances such as abuse or neglect. Through trained and approved foster carers, the organisation helps provide children with a secure home environment while supporting their individual needs and, where possible, their connection and reunification with their families.
Becoming a foster carer is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting difference in a child's life. Foundations Care supports prospective carers throughout the entire journey, from the initial enquiry and application through assessment, training, approval and matching. Once approved, foster carers receive ongoing guidance and support from experienced caseworkers, including regular visits, education, training and practical strategies to manage challenges that may arise during a placement. The organisation also provides 24/7 support to help foster carers feel confident and supported in their role.
